What is CANNONBALL?

CANNONBALL, a wild leap into the deep end with both legs tucked under your arms. You’ve no doubt executed a perfect cannonball before. We believe God has given us a vision that’s exhilarating and wild. This is not only a leap into the deep end, but we won’t resurface without Him.

CANNONBALL is how we talk about vision over the next couple of years. It’s a one-fund initiative, meaning all regular giving and special giving will be combined into one unified fund. We believe the time is NOW to engage everyone at Abundant Life Church with fresh vision that will cause some big waves. Our goal over the next 2 years is to increase our budget by 50%.

Theme Verse

Our theme verse is Romans 15:8 (MSG)
“This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant...”

That verse says it all. God is calling us to trust him for big things, not to simply “tend graves.” He’s telling us to pray big, adventurously expectant prayers!

Where are we going with this?

Abundant Life Church exists to offer our sincere acceptance to everyone, introducing them to God’s grace and love. We believe that, through Christ, we can make those more than just words, and we can do it NOW. We don’t have to wait. in fact, we can’t wait. If we wait, we’ll be “tending graves.”

We have a goal to add an additional $400K per year to our budget over the next 2 years (for a total of $800K). Here’s what God will do with it through us:

1. Invest - $500K
   a. Remove the burden of debt and invest in long-term resources
   b. Update and enhance our campus

2. Empower - $200k
   a. Bring on the best staff and resources
   b. Renovate and create environments for ministry and development

3. Release - $100K
   a. Partnership with Nairobi Chapel to welcome interns to train, equip, and release the message of Jesus
   b. Host international ministry interns
